LIONS INTERNATIONAL
LIONS are ordinary people who do amazing things. They are men and women who volunteer their time to humanitarian causes in their local and global communities. In the British Isles and Ireland and the rest of Europe, Lions donate around 5.7 million pounds to humanitarian causes each year. We, the Lions Club organization are here to promote the young of today, to help them learn and achieve goals through our youth projects and programs because today, the youth are our priority. They can undertake any traditional project or organize community projects.
LEO - LEADERSHIP, EXPERIENCE AND OPPORTUNITY.
The LEO CLUB OF COVENTRY GODIVA is an extension of LIONS CLUB OF COVENTRY GODIVA. The Godiva Leos are the youth aged between 12 and 21 who are a part of worldwide organization. The Coventry Godiva Leos were formed five years ago and have grown to be one of the strongest clubs in the District 105M. An increasing number of anxious people looking to join Leos have spread word all over Coventry. In the past five years the Leos have held very successful events like the annual summer BBQ, 5 a-side football tournaments etc. They take joy and community services too.

 

Lions Club Objectives

TO CREATE and foster a spirit of understanding among the people of the world.

TO PROMOTE the principles of good government and good citizenship.

TO TAKE an active interest in the civic, cultural, social and moral welfare of the community.

To UNITE the clubs in the bonds of friendship, good fellowship and mutual understanding.

TO PROVIDE a Forum for the open discussion of all matters of public interest; provide however, that partisan politics and sectarian religion shall not be debated by club members.

TO ENCOURAGE service-minded people to serve their community without personal financial reward and to encourage efficiency and promote high ethical standards in commerce, industry , professions, public works and private endeavors.
