" BABA FARID MISSION HOSPITAL " a Private hospital organized a medical camp for free in the school Campus .

*First and Free EYE CAMP conducted organized in the school campus .by Past president Lion Saudagar Singh Nagra and his Team from CITY CENTER CHERITABLE HOSPITAL Phillaur in which hundreds of patients were treated absolutely free and above 30 were operated upon for free lens transplants.

The delegation from Lions Club of Coventry Godiva UK visited the school campus .Under the Leadership of Lion President Lion Lady Geeta Mistry & her husband Lion Gulab Mistry ,Past president Lion Lady Iqbal Rehal and Her Husband,Lion John Matharu and Lion Nirmal Singh Buhee accompanied them.

Students and staff were on to their toes to welcome the Lions. Lion Lady Iqbal Rehal Presented Two LCD computer Screens to the school .

Second Rally

Rally to motivate the rural people to....

....Was organized through the village.Students took part enthusiastically as they ever do, holding the slogans up.Hence laying the foundation for a better society more strongly.

Trip To The Taj , Fatehpur Seekari,Jantar Mantar and Redfort (2008) , With the valuable support and openhearted funding from Two Lions Dr.Rakesh Sachdev and Sh.Lalli Sokhi a trip was organised to The Taj,Fatehpur Seekari and Jantar Mantar.

Another trip for great Religious destinations including The Axis of Sikhism -: Shri Goindwal sahib was organised.

On returning the students visited "The Eco Baba" Sant Shri Balbir singh ji seechewal(A revolutionary Environmentalist) and He shared views from his life devoted to save "Kali Bein" a sacred river in which Shri Guru Nanak dev Ji used to take bath at Sultanpur.

First Rally

.On March 23rd to pay a Tribute to the Triplet of Martyrs ie. Shaheed-e-Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh,Shaheed Shri Rajguru and Shaheed Shri sukhdev on their Martyrdom day students took on a rally through the village to gve a peace message to the people around .

They were alsoholding various slogans in their hands up and high and appealed people to keep the Harmony in Life and Environment.

New extension block of Godiva Lions Public School was inaugurated in 2006. The members of Lions club visited the school. A number of appreciation awards were given to school authorities for their valuable contribution to the school. The school children were given school bags, pencil boxes and note books etc. A medical checkup camp was also organized and spectacles were given to four students.

Lions Nurpur Public School is very proud to inform you all that within a short period, this school has gained a very good reputation. Children from surrounding villages are also coming to our school. .

Computer education is our first target. Our first terminal examination came out with a very good result. Parents are happy with our school activities.

A 10 KVA generator, lawn machine and two buggies are new additions to our school. The green lawn with silky grass is looking too marvelous. Children go to their houses in buggies. Two buggies are full of children and we need the third buggy very soon. Except a school van, we have almost everything that a good school needs.

When the Lions Club of Coventry Godiva visited the school in march 2004, a drawing competition was held by the students and the winners were given the prizes. A lot of entertainment was also held for the guests.

On 10th of April, the school function was organized. The students presented a variety of cultural events for the guests and were given the prizes.

A Host night was organized by Lions Club, Nakodar Greater, International Twinning Club. A Cheque of Rs. 10,000 was also presented by Lion Devinder Mankoo, President Lions Club of Coventry Godiva. A great fun was held during the host night.

Lions Club of Coventry, Godiva's Annual eye camp was organized on April 3, 2004 in Phillaur. Over 750 people were examined and a number of successful operations were carried out. Sokhi family organized a similar camp and donated over 50 spectacles to the needy people of Nurpur Village.
